Our first-harvest, single-origin Yabukita matcha from Nara is crafted 100% exclusively from ichibancha leaves — the youngest and most prized of the year. Shade-grown for over 21 days, these tender leaves develop elevated levels of L-theanine and chlorophyll, resulting in a vibrant green color and smooth, umami-rich taste.
Its well-rounded, nutty profile makes it an excellent choice for lattes and milk-based drinks, where the matcha flavor remains present and balanced without becoming bitter or overpowering.
Preparation
Prepare 2g (about 1 tsp) with 75 mL (2.5 oz) of hot water at 80º C (175º F). Whisk and enjoy hot or cold with your favorite dairy or dairy alternative.
